- We will start with "Business today" course. It is made by:
- David J.Rachman (Bernard M.Baruch College of the city University of New York).
- Michael H.Mescon (Regents professor of human relations)
- Courtland L.Bovee (Professor of business administration)
- John V.Thill (CEO – communication specialist of America)

2- Why Business today course?

- Business today explains a lot of views of business the strength, weakness, successes, failures, challenges, and problems. It gives students basics for more advanced courses. Business today has up to date real life examples. Business today implements the guideline for undergraduate business programs of the American Association of Collegiate Schools of business. The eighth edition has been updated with:
1- Provide complete description of the business concepts.
2- Up- to- date real life examples.

3- International examples offer a global perspective.

- When students enter the business world they will face competition not only domestic one but international competition. So it will become harder to separate domestic competition from the global business. Our course explains a lot of examples about international business, U.S companies doing business overseas.

4- Today's most important issues.

- Students today need to understand social responsibilities as it relates to the environment, consumers, employers, and investors. Our course discusses ethical decision making on both the individual and the corporate level. Here some examples of social & ethical issues will be discussed:

- Our course will discuss small businesses such as its problems, risks, rewards because sometimes students want to be self employed but they don't understand how to deal with small businesses.

- At the end of each chapter a case for critical thinking it helps the students evaluate situation, using good judgment, learning to make decisions, and developing critical thinking skills. Critical thinking call for skills such as observing, classifying, interpreting, criticizing, summarizing, analyzing, comparing, collecting, and organizing information, and applying knowledge to new situation.
